OUTER DISTRICT Date: 27.08.13 PRESS RELEASE Sensational kidnapping for Ransom case worked out within hours. Ransom amount Rs. 20 Lakhs recovered. Precious life saved. Hunt for remaining Co-accused/Conspirators on.HIGHLIGHTS:-„«Two accused persons namely Chakit Ravi and Dharmender Kumar arrested by the staff of PS North Rohini.„« Ransom money Rs. 20 Lakhs recovered.„«One Maruti Wagon R Car No. DL-6C-4046 and one Pulsar M/Cycle No. DL-8S-BD-4442 used in the commission of crime recovered. BRIEF FACTS: With the Co-ordinated efforts and swift action, the staff of PS Vijay Vihar has worked out a Kidnapping for Ransom case within hours of reporting by arresting accused Dharmender Kumar S/o Sh. Lalji Shah R/o E-199, Shahbad Dairy, Delhi and Chakit Ravi S/o Kishan Lal R/o 16/542 Bapa Nagar, I block Karol Bagh, Delhi. INCIDENT: - On dated 25/08/13 at about 9:10 P.M, a PCR call was received that a person namely Ritesh Bansal has been Kidnapped from Karol Bagh and the kidnappers have demanded to bring ransom amount Rs. 20 Lakhs at Rithala Metro Station. On this information SHO/Vijay Vihar immediately constituted a team consisting of SI Sonu Ram, ASI Nand Kishore, HC Narender, Ct. Jai Singh, Ct. Parmod and Ct. Anil Kumar. The team immediately swung into action. ACP/Rohini also took the command under the supervision of the undersigned. The police team remained in regular touch with the complainant and came to know that the kidnappers had changed the place for delivering the ransom amount and they had directed to bring the ransom amount at B.S.A Hospital. This was a sensational call and the police team so formed was also concerned for the life of kidnapped person and simultaneously planning the action with all precautions. Police personnel in plain clothe and in uniform were deployed in the surroundings of given place. At about 10:00 PM, a person came on a Pulsar M/Cycle No. DL-8S-BD-4442, whose name and address was later known as Dharmender, accepted the ransom amount and was overpowered then and there by the police personnel. Dharmender was on regular touch with the kidnappers through mobile phone. Technical surveillance was also mounted on the available phone numbers. At about 11:04 PM, an information was received from Police Station Shahbad Dairy that the kidnapped person has reached PS SB Dairy. Statement of Sh. Rithesh Bansal was recorded, who stated that he had a construction business and was known to a person namely Chakit Ravi R/o I-16/542, Bapa Nagar, Karol Bagh, Delhi. He had some business problems and he was trying to resolve the same with the help of Chakit Ravi. On the evening of 25/08/13 at about 06:00 PM Chakit Ravi met him at his office in Karol Bagh and asked to accompany him in his Wagon R car. When they reached near Ramjas School, Dev Nagar, Delhi, Chakit Ravi stopped the car. Suddenly three persons entered into the car and overpowered him on the gun point. Thereafter, they demanded ransom money of Rs. 20 lacs, he told his friend Pardeep to arrange for the ransom amount. They kept on roaming in isolated areas and at about 10:30 P.M, it appeared that they were disturbed. Chakit Ravi stopped the car at a isolated place in the area of SB Dairy and finding an opportunity he ran away from the spot. Thereafter, he reported to the nearest Police Station i.e. PS SB Dairy. A Case vide FIR No. 345/13 U/s 364-A/34 IPC & 27 Arms Act was got registered at Police Station North Rohini and investigation was entrusted to SI Mukesh Rana. Another team headed by Inspr. Raj Kumar SHO/North Rohini, HC Rajesh Kumar, Ct. Rambir and Ct. Vikram under the supervision of Sh. Ramesh Chander ACP/Prashant Vihar was formed for further investigation. Accused Chakit Ravi was apprehended from his house and interrogated in length. In the beginning he was showing his innocence but on sustained interrogation, he revealed that the conspiracy to kidnap Ritesh Bansal and to extort ransom money was hatched by him. He was aware of the sound economic status of Ritesh Bansal. He had joined three more associates in his evil designs. Accused namely Dharmender and Chakit Ravi have been arrested and hunt for remaining accused persons is on. PROFILE OF ACCUSED PERSONS: - 1. Dharmender (22 years ) S/o Sh. Lal Ji Shah R/o E-199 Shahbad Dairy, Delhi. He is a painter by profession and is known to the absconding accused persons. He studied Up to 8th class. He is previously involved in a criminal case registered vide FIR No. 96/2011 U/s 308/34 IPC PS Shahbad Dairy, Delhi. 2. Chakit Ravi (28 years) S/o Kishan Lal R/o 16/542 Bapa Nagar, I block Karol Bagh, Delhi. He runs a GYM at West Patel Nagar and studied up to graduation. RECOVERIES: - 1. Rs. 20 Lakhs 2. OUTER DISTRICT Date: 27.08.13 DELHI POLICE PRESS RELEASE FOUR PERSONS ARRESTED FOR EXTORTION BID BY THE STAFF OF PS NARELA HIGHLIGHTS:- „« Four accused persons namely Jagbir Singh @ Monu, Rahul @ Dada, Chitarpal @ Sonu and Kasim arrested by the staff of PS Narela. „« Five cell phones used in commission of crime recovered. BRIEF FACTS:- With the arrest of accused (1) Jagbir Singh @ Monu, (26 years) S/o Baljeet Singh R/o- H. No.-131, VPO- Sanooth, Narela, Delhi (2) Rahul @ Dada (22 years) S/o Moolchand R/o H. No.-129, VPO- Sanooth, Narela, Delhi (3) Chitarpal @ Sonu, (22 years) S/o Subhash R/o H. No. 145, VPO- Sannoth, Narela Delhi and (4) Kasim (20 years) S/o Ahmad Ali R/o A-533, Metro Vihar- Phase-I, Holambi Kalan, Delhi, the staff of PS Narela has solved a case of Extortion bid. INCIDENT:- Complainant Sh. Dinesh Kuamr S/o Sh. Lala Ram Kishan R/o H. No. 124, Main Bazar, Narela, Delhi reported that on 21.8.13, he received a phone call, the caller gave his introduction as Neetu Dabodiya and demanded Rs. 10 lacs and threatened to kill him for not fulfilling his demand. On 22.8.13, when he reached his shop, he found a threat note in which a demand of Rs. 10 lacs was made. On his complaint, a case vide FIR No. 559/13, U/s 387/506 IPC, PS- Narela was registered and investigation was taken up. INVESTIGATION:- A team comprising of Inspr. Abhinendra Jain, SHO/Narela, SI Mahavir, SI Arun Dagar, HC Satpal, Ct. Awaran Singh and Ct. Hem Raj under the close supervision of Sh. Rajiv Ranjan Singh, ACP/Alipur was constituted. The team worked hard relentlessly with great conviction & utmost sincerity and developed information about the criminals. During investigation, CDRs of phone numbers used for extortion bid were analyzed. With the help of electronic surveillance, one Kashim was apprehended and interrogated, who disclosed that one Jagbir @ Monu had asked him to provide stolen mobile phones and SIM Cards. He had stolen two mobile phones from the area of Metro Vihar. Jagbir @ Monu has promised him to pay Rs. 50,000/-. Kasim was arrested and on the instance of Kasim accused Namely Jagbir Singh @ Monu, Rahul @ Dada and Chiterpal @ Sonu were arrested from Village- Sannoth, Narela, Delhi. INTERROGATION:- On sustained interrogation the accused persons disclosed that they are unemployed and looking for a suitable job. Jagbir Singh @ Monu had heard that Neetu Dabodiya who is a hardcore criminal of Delhi/NCR had given threats to businessmen of Bawana for paying Rs. 50 lacs. Accordingly, he used his name to extort money from Dinesh Kumar, whose financial position is sound. Later on they executed their plan and used a stolen Cell Phone/SIM Card provided by Kasim, who had stolen the same from the area of Holambi Kalan. They had promised Kasim to pay Rs. 50,000/- after commission of crime. On 21.8.2013, Jagbir Singh @ Monu had called Dinesh Kumar from cell phone provided by Kashim and demanded Rs. 10 lacs and threatened to kill him for not fulfilling the demand. On 22.8.13, they had thrown a written threat note in his shop and also called him telephonically. PROFILE OF ACCUSED JAGBIR SINGH @ MONU : Accused Jagbir Singh @ Monu studied up to 11th class. He is working as building material supplier. He is married. He is previously involved in following cases:- 1. FIR No. 121/08 u/s 411 IPC & 25 a. Act PS-Narela. 2. FIR No.139/08 u/s 379 IPC PS- Prashant Vihar. 3. FIR No. 383/12 u/s 392/411/34 IPC PS- Bawana. 4. FIR No. 149/13 u/s 392/34 IPC PS- S.B. Dairy. PROFILE OF ACCUSED RAHUL @ DADA : Accused Rahul @ Dada studied up to 8th class. He is unemployed. He has one brother. He is unmarried. PROFILE OF ACCUSED CHITERPAL @ SONU: Accused Chitar Pal @ Sonu studied up to 12th class. He is working as conductor on a private bus. He has one brother and he is unmarried.
