Title : Accused wanted in a murder case arrested

SOUTH DISTRICT PRESS RELEASE Dated : 22.08.13 Accused wanted in a murder case arrested. Blood stained stone and mobile used in crime recovered. With the arrest of accused Vikash @ Vicky s/o Late Amar Singh r/o H. No 157, Munirka Village, New Delhi, a team of PS Vasant Vihar, South District has worked out a blind murder case and recovered blood stained stone and mobile used in crime at the instance of accused. Brief facts : On 6.07.13, a PCR call was received that a dead body was lying in Munirka Park near water tank. On reaching the spot, body of a boy aged about 20/22 years was found in the park and several injury marks were found on the body of deceased. Later, the dead body was identified as Ashu @ Sunny s/o Virender Singh r/o H. No 280 Munirka, New Delhi. In this regard, a case vide FIR No. 247 dated 06.07.13 u/s 302 IPC was registered at PS Vasant Vihar and investigation taken up. Investigation : Several teams of the officers of PS Vasant Vihar led by Inspr. Anil Sharma, SHO Vasant Vihar and Inspr. Santan Singh, Inspr. (Inv.) were formed under the supervision of Sh. Ramesh Chand, ACP/Vasant Vihar. During course of investigation, the following steps were made by team members : 1. A team was tasked to interact with family members and relatives to find out any clue of any issue related to family. 2. Entire route of entry and exit from the residence of deceased, was searched to find out any movement of deceased/accused recorded in any of the CCTV cameras. 3. Enquiries were made from local residents to find out any clue about the prospective culprit. 4. All vendors in the locality of Budh Vihar, Munirka were interrogated. 5. Enquiries were conducted from known bad characters of the area regarding any issue of enmity, jealousy or affairs. During further investigation, it came to notice that one Vikash @ Vicky was last seen with deceased in the park where the body of deceased was found. Vikash @ Vicky was also seen with deceased in CCTV footage of a Wine Shop in DDA Shopping Complex, Munirka and parking lot of Capital Court, Munirka on the night of incident. The team focused the investigation on Vikash @ Vicky. Intensive hunt for Vikash @ Vicky was made and finally, the team succeeding in arresting him. Blood stained stone and mobile phone used in crime was recovered at his instance. Interrogation : During interrogation, it was revealed that accused Vikash @ Vicky was well acquainted with Ashu (deceased). Accused Vikash was earlier arrested in Case FIR No. 139/11, u/s 302/34 IPC & 27 Arms Act, PS Vasant Vihar. After his release, he came to know that deceased was instrumental in his arrest. Since then, he was keeping a grudge against Ashu and wanted to take revenge from Ashu. On sustained interrogation, he confessed his involvement in the murder of Ashu on 05.07.13. Profile of accused : Accused Vikash @ Vicky (26 years) s/o late Amar Singh r/o H. No. 157, Munirka Village, New Delhi is a school dropout. He is a drug addict. He has mother and a younger brother in his family. He is previously involved in the following criminal cases : 1. Case FIR No 192/04 u/s 419/420/468/471/120B IPC PS R.K. Puram, Delhi. 2. Case FIR No 85/08 u/s 356/379/34 IPC PS R.K. Puram, Delhi. 3. Case FIR No 139/11 u/s 302/34 IPC & 27 Arms Act PS Vasant Vihar, Delhi. Recoveries: 1. Clothes of accused worn at the time of commission of crime. 2. Mobile phones used in crime and 3. Blood stained stones. Police personnel involved in the good work are being rewarded suitably. (P.S. Title : Two accused indulged in snatching arrested.

SOUTH DISTRICT PRESS RELEASE Dated : 22.08.13  Two accused indulged in snatching arrested.  Eight snatched mobile phones and motor cycle used in commission of crime recovered. Brief facts : With The arrest of two criminals, South District Police have worked out two cases of mobile snatching. On 30.07.13, the team of STF, South District consisting of SI Arvind and others under the supervision of Inspr. Rajender Singh, STF/South District was deployed at Nelson Mandela Marg for checking of vehicles to prevent incidents of snatching. During checking, the team apprehended two boys who were riding a motor cycle in zig-zag manner. During enquiry, they disclosed their identity as Pankaj Sharma (21 years) Ashok Kumar r/o 1/69, Gali No. 2, Tuglakabad Extension, Delhi and Varun Sharma (19 years) r/o RZ 96B, Gali No. 9, Tuglakabad Extension, Delhi. On search, an expensive mobile phone (make S-3 Samsung) was recovered from the possession of Varun. During verification, the said recovered phone was found to be snatched from the area of PS Govind Puri vide FIR No. 463/13. Subsequently, both accused persons were arrested and motor cycle used in the crime was seized. Interrogation : During interrogation, accused persons disclosed their involvements in various incidents of mobile phone snatching the area of Hauz Khas, Kalkaji, C.R. Park, Govind Puri, etc. At their instance, 7 more expensive snatched mobile phones were recovered. Cases worked out : 1. FIR No. 463/13 PS Govind Puri. 2. FIR No. 524/13 PS Govind Puri. Profile of accused persons : 1. Accused Pankaj is pursuing his Interior designing course from a prestigious institute in Delhi. His father is a carpenter by profession and running a shop in Tuglakabad. In order to help his father in the family business, he wanted to be an Interior Designer. 2. Accused Varun has studied up to 12th class. Presently, he is pursuing Civil Engineering from a prestigious Polytechnic Institute in Delhi. Recoveries : 1. Eight expensive snatched phones (make Samsung S-3, Samsung Galaxy Core, Samsung Galaxy Grand, Samsung Galaxy Y, Samsung GT-B7510, Blackberry 9220, Sony Ericsson and Nokia E-5). 2. Title : HUGE QUANTITY OF ILLEGAL ARMS AND AMMUNITION- 4 WEAPONS RECOVERED

22.08.13 CRIME BRANCH PRESS RELEASE  SUPPLIERS OF ILLEGAL WEAPONS ARRESTED.  HUGE QUANTITY OF ILLEGAL ARMS AND AMMUNITION- 4 WEAPONS RECOVERED. INTRODUCTION:- With the arrest of two suppliers, the Crime Branch has unearthed a racket involved in the sale and supply of sophisticated illegal weapons in Delhi and NCR region and recovered huge quantity of illegal arms and ammunition. INFORMATION, TEAM AND OPERATION:- An input was received in Crime Branch that a gang is indulging in the sale and supply of illegal arms and ammunition in Delhi/NCR Region. Illegal arms are being supplied to the local criminals of Delhi & NCR through Parvej and Mohd Ashu, both residents of Dasna, Distt. Ghaziabad, UP. A team led by Inspr Jai Bhagwan and consisting of ASIs Harveer Singh, Harsh Vardhan, HCs Azad, Upender, Karambir, Sandeep, Dilbagh Singh, Kamal, Krishan, Jitender, Sanjay Tyagi and Ct Harender of AATS was formed under the close supervision of ACP Om Prakash Singh and overall guidance of DCP Crime (South) Bhisham Singh. The team worked hard day and night and successfully unearthed the nexus involved in the illicit trade of arms and ammunition. During investigation of a case registered earlier, it was revealed that illegal weapons are being manufactured in Munger (Bihar) and Dhar (Madhya Pradesh) and supplied to local criminals of Delhi and NCR through criminals Parvej and Mohd Ashu both resident of Dasna, Ghaziabad, UP. To develop this information and to apprehend the criminals with the objective to eradicate the whole nexus, a dedicated team consisting of ASI Harbir, HC Upender and Ct Harender was put on the task to collect further specific details about these criminals. A careful study regarding the modus operandi of this gang was also carried out and sources were deployed. The Crime Branch apprehended Parvej and Mohd Ashu, both residents of Dasna, Ghaziabad, UP and recovered 3 pistols of .32 bore along with 10 live cartridges of the same bore and 1 CMP of .315 bore along with 2 live cartridges from their possession. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 141/13, Dt. 19/8/13, u/s 25 Arms Act, PS Crime Branch has been registered. INTERROGATION:- After their arrest, both the accused were put to sustained interrogation during which it was disclosed that they used to purchase these automatic pistols from one Nadeem, who is resident of Hapur, UP, at the rate of Rs.25,000/- per .32 bore pistol and sell @ Rs. 30,000/- per pistol. Accused Mohd Ashu disclosed that he was earlier arrested in Faridabad, Haryana in the month of April this year in a case of Arms Act. It has also been disclosed by the accused Parvej that he is facing trial in two criminal cases of theft in a Court in Jaipur, Rajasthan. PROFILES:- 1. Mohd Ashu s/o Mohd Nijam r/o ward no. 12, Mohalla lohar wala, Dasna, PS Masoori, Distt. Ghaziabad UP. He was born in the year of 1987. He has completed his graduation from MMH Collage, Ghaziabad, UP last year. He has also taken admission in LLB Ist year in the same collage. He came in contact with one Nadeem about 2-3 years back who was indulging in supply of illegal weapons. He has already been arrested u/s 25/54/59 Arms Act in Faridabad, Haryana in the month of April 2013. 2. Parvej s/o Rahimudin r/o Mohalla Char Biswa, Dasna, Ghaziabad, UP was born in 1985 and is married. He is having two children. He has studied upto 8th class. He is facing trial of two criminal cases of theft in the court of Jaipur, Rajasthan.
