Dated: 2.11.12 PRESS RELEASE ONE ROBBER AND TWO JUVENILES APPREHENDED INTRODUCTION: Jahangir Puri police of North West District has apprehended one robber Jamshed s/o Anwar Hussain r/o N-38/B-63, CD Park, Jahangir Puri, Delhi along with two juveniles and solved a robbery case. INCIDENT: On 30.10.12 at about 2.40 AM, one Rani had gone at Main Road D-Block in front of Gali No. 300, Jahangir Puri to see off her son-in-law and when she was on her way back, four youths came from behind, caught her hands and took away her four ear rings forcibly. In this process, she also fell down and got injury. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 280/12 u/s 394/34 IPC PS Jahangir Puri was registered. During investigation, the involvement of one active robber Jamshed found in this case. A police team was constituted by Inspr. Yashpal Singh, SHO/Jahangir Puri which laid a trap and apprehended Jamshed s/o Anwar Hussain r/o N-38/B-63, CD Park, Jahangir Puri, Delhi alongwith his two juvenile associates. Three golden ear rings were also recovered from their possession. During interrogation, Jamshed admitted his involvement in above case and further found involved in four other cases of robbery of PS Jahangir Puri. (DR. P. KARUNAKARAN) IPS DY. Ct Ajay and Ct Laxman Pandey received a secret information about the presence of proclaimed offender Rakesh Kumar in the area of Karkardooma courts, Delhi. Dated 02.11.2012 NOTORIOUS SNATCHER AND ROBBER ARRESTED Special Staff of West District has arrested a notorious snatcher cum robber namely Sonu @ Karedi @ Pawan. Sonu @ Karedi is a close associate and cousin brother of notorious snatcher and an active Bad Character Ishwar @ Sippy of P.S. Khyala, Delhi. Sonu @ Karedi was previously involved in many criminal cases of Attempt to Murder, Snatchings, Theft and Arms Act. After release from Jail, Sonu with his associate Ishwar @ Sippy has committed a road robbery in the area of P.S. Uttam Nagar, Delhi. In this incident they have also fired on the victim. INFORMATION/OPERATION Information was received by the team of Special Staff West District about a notorious snatcher and robber who has recently been released from Jail alongwith his associate Ishwar @ Sippy have committed a robbery in the area of P.S. Uttam Nagar on 27/10/2012. The criminals have also fired on the victim. On this information sources were deployed and information was collected. On 01.11.2012, specific information was received in Special Staff/West Distt. that Sonu @ Karedi will come from Najafgarh to Dwarka More, Delhi on a Bajaj Pulsar Motorcycle to pick up his associate at about 2.00 to 3.00pm. On this information a raiding party under the supervision of ACP/Operation Cell Sh. Raj Singh and Insp. Satyvir Singh, consisting of SI Manoj Kumar, SI Charan Singh, ASI Mahender Singh, HC Hattu, HC Kirori Mal, HC Shashi Kant, HC Suresh, HC Moti Ram, Ct Vinod , Ct. Anil, Ct. Amit and Ct. Amarjeet was constituted and a trap was laid on Najaf Garh Road, Vipin Garden near Vedanta Farm House, Vipin Garden,Uttam Nagar, Delhi. At about 2.40 pm one person came on a motorcycle Bajaj Pulsar silver colour which was identified by the informer as Sonu @ Karedi and thus, was intercepted and apprehended by the police party. The person disclosed his name as Sonu @ Karedi @ Pawan S/o Sh. Om Parkash, R/o A-330, Chanakya Place , Delhi. On enquiry he could not produce any document about the ownership of the motorcycle. On his search one loaded country made Pistol was recovered from his possession. On this a Case FIR No. 462/12 u/s 25/54/59 Arms Act P.S. Uttam Nagar, Delhi was registered and he was arrested. On interrogation he made disclosure of a robbery committed by him in the night of 27/10/2012 with his associate Ishwar @ Sippy (an Active BC of P.S. Khyala) from a lady. When she resisted Ishwar fired from his weapon and injured the lady. In this regard Case FIR No. 456/12 U/s 394/397/34 IPC was found registered at P.S. Uttam Nagar, Delhi. MODUS OPERANDI AND INTERROGATION During interrogation Sonu @ Karedi @ Pawan disclosed that he was born in Delhi. His father was working at Air Force Station, Subroto Park as Tailor. He is the only son of his parents. Due to dispute between his mother and father they got separated and Sonu with his mother came to Raghubir Nagar, Delhi to live with his maternal uncle Raju. He with his cousin brothers Balram and Ishwar @ Sippy came in contact with bad elements. They started committing snatching on stolen motorcycles. Balram and Ishwar @ Sippy became active bad Character of P.S. Khayala. He was first arrested in year 2001 in snatching cases from P.S Rajouri Garden and Kirti Nagar, Delhi. Thereafter he did not look back and got involved deeply into crime. He was arrested several times. His peculiar modus operandi is that he always change his address when arrested so that Police couldn’t monitor his movements when he comes out from Jail. He always associates new criminals to his gang so that he can dominate them. He got married with his lady love and extra liability increased his lust for money and he took to auto lifting with other crimes. He was arrested in August, 2012 and came out from Jail on 26/10/2012. After release from Jail he met Ishwar @ Sippy who is evading arrest in many cases. On 27/10/2012 both Ishwar @ Sippy and Sonu @ Karedi celeberated the release of Sonu from Jail. Ishwar @ Sippy also provided a Country made Pistol to Sonu. At night hours when both of them were returning home they found one lady walking alone near Vipin Garden. Sonu was riding the motorcycle and Sippy was sitting pillion. Looking on to the target both turned back and Sippy on gun point tried to rob the bag of the lady. The lady resisted this act, and so Sippy fired on her with the weapon carried by him and fled away. The gang used to target women as they are soft targets and give up very easily.
