PRESS RELEASE 30.08.2013 „« A gang of snatchers busted by the local Police of PS Kalkaji „« A gold chain and two Motor Cycles reported stolen from the area of PS Kalkaji and OIA recovered. With the arrest of two criminals namely Saurabh @ Raja S/o Sh. Manoj Chaudhary R/o C/o Vikram Mavi, H.No. 132, 3rd floor, Mavi Mauhalla, Tehkhand, Okhla Phase-I, New Delhi, aged 21 Years and Veerdas @ Sajan S/o Manoj Dass R/o C/o Mukesh Mavi, Mavi Mauhalla, Tehkhand, Okhla Phase-I, New Delhi, aged 20 Years, the local Police of PS Kalkaji busted a gang of snatchers who were actively committing crime in the area of South East Distt. INCIDENT On 26.8.2013 at around 10.30 AM, Ms. Jospheen John, a resident of Kalkaji area was going to her house after taking medicine. When she reached near L Block Kalkaji, two persons riding on a Motor Cycle snatched her gold chain from her neck and fled away. A case vide FIR No. 377/2013 u/s 379/356/34 IPC was registered at PS Kalkaji. INVESTIGATION CONDUCTED:- During investigation of the above case, a team headed by SI Satvinder, HC Arun Tyagi and Ct. Dharmender of PS Kalkaji sincerely collected intelligence about the criminals. The above team received a secret information through a secret resources about the criminals behind this crime. Accordingly, on the basis of information gathered during the course of investigation, a trap was laid at Krishna Market, Kalkaji. On 27.8.2013 at around 1.00 PM, at the instance of secret informer, a person who was coming on a Motor Cycle bearing registration No. DL-9SM-2390, make Hero Honda Passion Plus was signalled to stop but he instead of stopping, took ¡¥U¡¦ turn and tried to flee. He was chased and apprehended. He was identified as Veerdas @ Sajan S/o Manoj Dass R/o C/o Mukesh Mavi, Mavi Mauhalla, Tehkhand, Okhla Phase-I, New Delhi, aged 20 Years. He could not produce any documents pertaining to registration of the above Motor Cycle as well as could not reply satisfactorily. During interrogation, earlier he was misleading the Police team but on sustained interrogation, he broke down and admitted the commission of crime of the above noted case along with his associate namely Saurabh @ Raja S/o Sh. Manoj Chaudhary R/o C/o Vikram Mavi, H.No. 132, 3rd floor, Mavi Mauhalla, Tehkhand, Okhla Phase-I, New Delhi, aged 21 Years. Both the accused persons were arrested in this case. The above snatched gold chain was recovered from the house of accused Saurabh at their instances. The Motor Cycle No. DL-9SM-2390 on which, accused Veerdas was riding was found to be stolen vide case FIR No. 354/2013 u/s 379 IPC PS Kalkaji. One more Motor Cycle bearing registration No. DL-7SJ-7383 make Hero Honda Spender was also recovered on their instance which has been reported to be stolen vide case FIR No. 422/2013 u/s 379 IPC PS Okhla. PROFILE OF ACCUSED:- Accused Saurabh was working as security guard and Veerdass was working in printing press in Okhla. MODUS OPERANDI:- They commit Auto Theft and later use the stolen vehicle in commission of crime of snatching. PREVIOUS INVOLVEMENT:- Accused Saurabh @ Raja was earlier involved in case FIR No. 317/2012 u/s 356/379/411/34 IPC PS Amar Colony and FIR No. 267/2013 u/s 379/356/411 IPC PS OIA. RECOVERY:- 1. PRESS RELEASE 30.08.2013 „« TIMELY SIGNAL BY PUBLIC PERSONS RESULTED IN RED HANDED CATCH OF PICK POCKETER GANG. „« THREE DESPERATE ROBBERS HAVE BEEN ARRESTED BY POLICE OF PS BADARPUR. „« TWO ROBBED MOBILE PHONES WITH A ROBBED PURSE CONTAINING CASH Rs. 120/- RECOVERED FROM THEM. „« A BUTTON ACTUATED KNIFE ALSO RECOVERED FROM THEM. With the arrest of three desperate pick picketers cum robbers namely (1) Vicky Singh S/o Satender Singh, R/o Rakesh Ka Makan Tajpur Pahari New Delhi, age 19 yrs, (2) Deepak @ Khap s/o Ramji Lal R/o D-797, Tajpur Pahari, New Delhi and age 23 yrs, (3) Vinod Negi @ Lamboo @ Gadwali S/o Sh.Trilok Singh Negi R/o Khangad Mohalla, Tuglakabad, New Delhi, age 30 yrs, the staff of PS Badarpur has cracked a robber gang with the help of public. The team comprising of HC Mange Ram, Const. Sanjay and Ct. Jitender who were on picket duty at Bus Stand near TKD Metro Station on Mathura road at about 12.40 P.M. stopped a bus of route No. 473, came from Badarpur terminal side for checking. In the mean time a passenger cried from inside the bus that his purse and mobile were robbed forcefully by three persons after beating him. The alert picket staff covered both the doors of the bus on the instance of Satender Kumar S/o Jog Ram R/o 26/496, Trilokpuri, Delhi the complainant apprehended all the above three accused persons and recovered two mobile phones make Micro Max X-1 01 and Vellscom ve-07 from the pocket of Vicky Singh and one buttondar knife was recovered from the pocket of accused Deepak @ Khap and one purse containing Rs.120/-, and voter card of complainant and other documents were recovered from the pocket of accused Vinod Negi. Recovered mobile phone Micro Max was claimed by another passenger of said bus namely Prashanth Kumar and other mobile was claimed by complainant Satender. A case vide FIR No. 287/13 dated 29-8-13 u/s 394/397/34 /411 IPC was registered on the statement of Satender Kumar and his medical examination was also conducted at Saras Hospital. INVESTIGATION & INTERROGATION: During the investigation, on sustained interrogation all three accused persons have confessed their involvement in that crime and also disclosed that they all are involved in pick pocketing and robberies to full fill their desires and active in local buses running on Mathura Road. They also added that they first try to steal the cash/mobile phone from the pocket of the targeted person and if the targeted person protests then they use force and on the show off button actuated knife they rob the cash. They also disclosed that working on the same M.O., on 29-8-13 all of them robbed 2 mobile phones and a purse containing cash, Rs. 120/- in a bus route number 473. Profile of Accused Vinod Negi @ Lamboo @ Gadwali S/o Sh. Trilok Singh Negi: He was arrested in a Case FIR No. 255/05, U/s 302/397/34 IPC PS Lajpat Nagar, and had been in J/C for 6 years. After that he came out of jail and started pick pocketing and robberies in moving buses on Mathura Road and MB Road, Nehru Place Najafgarh Road etc. RECOVERY „« One purse containing cash Rs. 120/- and documents. „« 2 Robbed Mobile Phones „« 1 Button actuated knife. Title : MISSING MINOR GIRL ALLEGEDLY KIDNAPPED RECOVERED AFTER FOUR YEARS

Dated: 31.08.2013 CRIME BRANCH ¡¥PRESS RELEASE¡¦„« MISSING MINOR GIRL ALLEGEDLY KIDNAPPED RECOVERED AFTER FOUR YEARS.INTRODUCTION:- The Crime Branch has successfully recovered and restored a minor girl, who was allegedly kidnapped from the Burari area, vide FIR No. 294/10, u/s 363 IPC, PS Burari, Delhi. INFORMATION, TEAM AND INVESTIGATION:- All possible efforts were made by local police to trace the girl but all in vain. Even a reward of Rs.50,000/- was also announced for the informant in this case but no clue came to light. Sensing the gravity and seriousness of the case, the case was entrusted to Crime Branch. The case was taken on top priority. A team led by Inspr Suraj Bhan comprising of SI Rohit, HC Kuldeep and W/Const Anita was formed and sources were deployed under the close supervision of ACP Arun Kumar and overall guidance of DCP Kumar Gyanesh. Fresh efforts were again put in and secret sources were deployed to find out any clue to trace the girl. All the suspects were again interrogated. The friend circle of the girl was taken into confidence and also examined for any clue. During this massive exercise, some startling facts came to light, such as the girl was fond of wrestling and used to practice on the sand banks of Yamuna River. One of her friends informed, on the condition of anonymity, that she was depressed and used to take anti-depressants. One of the chemists in the area also confirmed this information on the condition of anonymity. Accordingly, a massive hunt was carried out in hospitals and mental asylums of Delhi and neighboring states. Lots of perseverance and renewed efforts resulted into a pleasant surprise when a positive reply was received from Rajkiya Mahila Sharnalaya Bareilly, UP. The credentials of the girl were found matched this time. Without losing time, a team led by Inspr Suraj Bhan and comprising of SI Rohit, HC Kuldeep and W/Const Anita was immediately dispatched and the girl was recovered and restored to her mother (her father being no more alive).
