Title : SUPPLIER OF ILLICIT LIQUOR NABBED: 300 BOTTLES OF HARYANA EXISE LIQOUR ARRESTED

INTRODUCTION With the arrest of Manish Kumar s/o Hari Singh r/o A-31, Khan Pur Extention, Devli Road , Kalkaji South District Police have apprehended one bootlegger and recovered 300 bottles of illicit Haryana Excise liquor (15 cartons Wine & 10 cartons Beer) from his possession. INCIDENT, TEAM & INTERROGATION On 07.09.07, a secret information was received that one Manish, a trafficker of illicit liquor would be carrying Haryana Excise illicit liquor and would pass through the area of Govindpuri. Immediately, a team under the supervision of Shri V.P. Singh, ACP/Kalkaji led by Inspr. Jogender Kumar, SHO/Kalkaji comprising of SI Upender Singh, I/C PP Govind Puri, HC Satpal, Const. Ved Parkash, Const. Suresh, Const. Ramesh Kumar, Const. Narender Kumar was constituted and patrolling in the area was intensified around Service Road near Pocket A-14, Kalkaji Extension. At around 9.45 PM one person was found sitting on the footpath with plastic katta and he after seeing the police party started running from the spot, who was overpowered after a short chase and on checking the plastic katta, 300 bottles of illicit Haryana Excise liquor (15 cartons Wine & 10 cartons Beer). Accordingly, a case of Excise Act was registered and the accused was arrested. MODUS OPERANDI & PROFILE On interrogation it was revealed that this wine and beer cartons was to be distributed in the area of Sangam Vihar and Madan Gir for retail sale. The accused Manish is previously involved in one case of Excise act with large recovery. He is a supplier of illicit liquor in the area and has several persons for transporting illicit liquor from Haryana. This time, he himself was carrying the liquor and was apprehended. Title : AN AUTO LIFTER GANG BUSTED : ONE VEHICLE AND ONE LOADED COUNTRY MADE PISTOL RECOVERED

INTRODUCTION: With the arrest of two persons namely i) Rashidul@ Moti S/oJakir Hussain R/o Village- Safooti, Post- Safooti,P.S. and Distt.-Lakhim Pur,Assam,aged- 28 years and ii) Ravi@ Roop Singh S/o Raghubir Singh R/o Village and Post- Ghamroj, Distt. Gurgaon, Haryana aged 28 years the South District police has solved 06 cases of auto thefts and has recovered one stolen vehicle and one country made Pistol alongwith two live cartridges. INCIDENT: Following the analysis of auto thefts committed in the area of South Delhi, it was learnt that a gang of Ravi was desperately active in the area of Kotla Mubarakpur and Defence colony. Further study revealed that Honda City , Santro ,and Swift cars were being targeted by this gang. It was further learnt that all these vehicles were being transported to Assam and Nagaland. In order to bust the gang involved and to prevent the further crime, the team of Anti Auto Theft Squad was asked to put in their best efforts. TEAM & INVESTIGATION: The team of Anti Auto Theft Sqaud(AATS) consisting of SI Jeet Singh,ASI Om Prakash, HC Vinod Kumar,Ct.Subhash,Abdul Rehman and Shailender Singh under the leadership of Inspr. Naresh Kumar I/c AATS/SD under the supervision of Sh. Ramesh Chander Saini ACP/Ops geared up its resources and developed intelligence. They laid traps in a few affected areas and also started random checking of suspected vehicles and persons on outgoing roads of South Distt . In one of such checking, on 09-09-07 two persons occupying a Maruti car were stopped and checked at PVR Saket, M.B.Road in Malviya Nagar area at about 7.30 PM. On the personal search of one accused person later identified as Ravi @ Roop Singh, one country made pistol alongwith two live cartridges was recovered. Further enquiry regarding the vehicle revealed that the said Maruti car was stolen from Dabri area. Both the accused were accordingly arrested for having possession of illegal arms and stolen property. INTERROGATION: On sustained interrogation it was disclosed by Ravi @ Roop Singh that he had been involved in many cases of auto thefts and spent enough time in jail. He was released from jail one and Month ago and again indulged in auto thefts along with his associate Raju and Anil Rawat. He further disclosed that he used to steal Honda City cars Swift and Santro cars with the association of Raju who was recently arrested by Special Staff/ North East District and Anil Rawat. He used to steal all types of vehicles starting from motorcycles to Luxury cars. He had got a good chain of disposal of all these vehicles in Assam and Nagaland. He had stolen Honda City, Maruti Swift, Santro and Maruti cars, etc. from the area of posh localities of Kotla Mubarak Pur, Defence Colony ,Rajender Nagar and R.K. Puram. All these vehicles were given to notorious receivers of stolen properties in Assam and Nagaland namely Rashidul@ Moti and Tonny. Rashidul @ Moti is running a Kabari shop and also having buses and trucks in Assam . He came in Delhi for stealing vehicles and bought a Maruti car from Ravi and was apprehended. Both these receivers had purchased more than 50 vehicles from Ravi in last two years and further disposed off these vehicles. MODUS OPERANDI: Rashidul @Moti used to purchase the stolen cars from Ravi at the rate of Rs 50,000 for each Santro and Swift car and Rs 100,000 each for Honda City car .He Used to sell these cars on a profit of Rs. 20,000 to one Tony in Nagaland. PROFILES: Ravi @ Roop Singh has been involved in more than 10 cases. Earlier, he was arrested by the Crime Branch R.K. Puram in 2005 and Allahabad ,U.P. with stolen vehicles. He is habitual criminal and has left his native village Gurgaon. Rashidul @ Moti is a notorious receiver of stolen vehicles. He has also been involved in the cases of receiving stolen vehicles in Assam . RECOVERY: 1. One Maruti car stolen from the area of Dabri. 2. One country made pistol with two live cartridges. Investigation is in progress. Efforts are being done to arrest the associate Anil Rawat and receiver Tonny of Nagaland.

Title : INTERSTATE GANG OF NOTORIOUS CHEATERS WITH A UNIQUE MODUS OPERANDI BUSTED.

1 TWO INTERSTATE CHEATS HELD AND CHEATED JEWELLERY RECOVERED. 2 MANY CHEATING CASES SOLVED. South West District Police have busted a gang of interstate cheats who used to cheat the innocent ladies in Inderpuri area and two cheats, namely, Ramesh Kumar S/O Late Vir Bhan R/O House No. 750, Gali No 2, Guru Teg Bahadur Nagar, Ludhiana (Punjab) aged 47 years and Smt. Rani W/O Ramesh Kumar R/O House No. 750 Gali No. 2, Guru Teg Bahadur Nagar, Ludhiana (Punjab) aged 41 years have been arrested in case FIR No. 231/07 dated 07-09-2007 U/S 420/34 IPC P.S. Inder Puri, New Delhi and four gold bangles, one gold chain and one gold ring have been recovered from their possession, and many cases of cheating of Delhi, UP, Haryana and Punjab have also been solved. On 07-09-2007, Smt. Rajesh Mathur W/O Sh Harbans Mathur R/O A-57, Inder Puri, New Delhi, aged 63 years was coming to her house after purchasing curd from a DMS booth in Inder Puri. At about 11.45 AM when she reached near her house a person met her who asked her for the way to B-Block Inder Puri. She informed him the direction of B-Block Inder Puri. After a short-while a women appeared there and questioned Smt. Rajesh Mathur as to what this person was telling her. She informed her that he was asking her the way to B-Block Inder Puri. On hearing this, the lady informed her that this man is a very wise person and can solve all the problems and that she is very lucky to meet him. This lady further told her that this man had earlier solved her problem. In the meanwhile, HC Iswinder Singh No. 131/SW of P.S. Inder Puri who was on picket duty at A-Block Inder Puri saw these persons there and on being asked by him, Smt. Rajesh Mathur narrated the above story. HC Ishwinder Singh No. 131/SW handled them very professionally and detected that they are members of gang of cheats. On their sustained interrogation accused Ramesh Kumar and Smt. Rani disclosed that they resort to his kind of cheating in cases of lonely ladies who wear heavy jewellery. Their modus operandi is to ask for the direction for some block in the locality by a male member and after some time, the lady gang member approach the victim to cheat her of golden jewellery. They are the members of infamous Deepak gang of Jallandhar (Punjab). They along with their other associates namely Deepak, Kishan Lal R/O Jallandhar, Smt. Rita, Satpal and Devender , all resident of Jallandhar (Punjab) have committed a series of such cheatings in Amritsar, Ludhiana, Mohali, Jallandhar in Punjab and Sonepat, Panchkulla in Haryana , Chandigarh, Bareli in UP and Inder Puri, Madhuban Chowk, Jahangir Puri, Punjabi Bagh, Uttam Nagar, Rohini , Janak Puri, Rajouri Garden, Patel Nagar, Shahdra , Naraina, Wazirpur near Punjab Kesari , Maya Puri and other many places in Delhi. The accused Ramesh Kumar and Smt. Rani have earlier been arrested in Barelli (UP), Sonepat (Haryana) and Jallandhar in Punjab in cheating cases but after releasing from the jail they again indulged in such type of cheatings. The search of other gang members is on. All the states have been informed, accordingly, and the investigation of the case is in progress.
