Title : | GANG OF DESPERATE ROBBERS ARRESTED AFTER A BRIEF ENCOUNTER : ARMS AND AMMUNITION RECOVERED |
INTRODUCTION
With the arrest of 5 criminals namely I) Om Prakash @ Bunty aged 28 years, s/o Babul Lal r/o Sangam Vihar, ii) Rajesh, aged 28 years, s/o Om Prakash, r/o NOIDA, U.P., iii) Nazir @ Zakir, aged 26 years, s/o Anwar Hussain, r/o Sangam Vihar, Delhi, iv) Sanjay, aged 32 years S/o Dheer Singh, r/o Sangam Vihar, Delhi and v) Lala Ram, aged 24 years, s/o Narayan, r/o Sangam Vihar Delhi (Permanent address, District Bharat Pur, Rajasthan), South District Police busted a desperate gang of robbers/dacoits operating in South Delhi. The Police also recovered 4 country made kattas, 2 button actuated knives, 13 live cartridges, 2 fired cartridges and 1 Maruti Car from their possession.
INCIDENT & TEAM
On 9.9.2007, a secret information was received in Police Station Hauz Khas that a notorious gang of robbers led by Om Prakash @ Bunty would pass through Aruna Asif Ali Marg towards Kisan Garh Delhi in a red colour Maruti car with deadly weapons, and they might commit a dacoity in a petrol pump in the area of Vasant Kunj. Seeing the gravity of the information, immediately a special Police team consisting of SI Sunil Kumar, HC Islamuddin, Cts. Yashin, Bhuvan and Ashok led by Inspr. S.P. Kukreti, SHO/Hauz Khas under the overall supervision of Sh. H.P.S. Cheema, ACP/Hauz Khas was constituted to nab the criminals. The Police team immediately swung into action and reached at Aruna Asif Ali Marg with the informer. The Police team put special barricades and started an intense checking of vehicles. At about 4.00 p.m., a red colour Maruti car approached towards the barricade from the Katwaria Sarai side. On the specific tip-off given by the informer, the Police team signaled the car to stop. But instead of stopping the car the driver accelerated the speed of and tried to escape from the spot. But the alert police party managed to stop the car with the help of barricades. In the meantime, a person who was sitting in the front seat of the car with driver, came out of the car alongwith one more person, who was sitting on the left rear seat and both fired one round each at the Police party and started running towards the jungle behind Qutub Institutional Area, leaving behind the car. The Police team also fired two rounds in the air to scare the accused and chased them. After a short chase, the Police team overpowered them both. The three other criminals, who were sitting in the car were already apprehended by the Police team. On their personal search the Police team recovered .12 Bore katta with 7 live cartridges from Om Prakash @ Bunty alongwith one fired cartridge. One desi katta (.315 bore) with one live and one fired cartridge were recovered from Rajesh. One desi katta (.315 Bore) alongwith 2 live cartridges were recovered from Sanjay. One desi katta (.315 Bore) alongwith 3 live cartridges were recovered from Nazir @ Zakir. One button actuated knife was recovered from the possession accused Lala Ram. One more button actuated knife was recovered from the car which was kept under the foot mat of driver seat. Accordingly, all the five above mentioned persons were arrested for the offence of obstructing and firing on police party and under the provisions of Arms Act.
INTERROGATION & MODUS OPERANDI
During the course of sustained interrogation it is revealed out that Om Prkash @ Bunty is the leader of this gang. He is involved in 22 cases of murder, robbery, attempt to murder and theft in different Police Stations of South District. Rajesh is involved in a case of Arms Act at PS Sangam Vihar. Nazir @ Zakir, Sanjay and Lala Ram have recently joined this gang. They were going in the area of Vasant Kunj to loot a petrol pump in the area.
They have kept these deadly arms to terrorize the victims and they even dont hesitate to shot the persons who object them.
Further interrogation is in progress to ascertain their other involvements in crime.
PROFILE
Om Prakash @ Bunty is a desperate criminal. He was born in Sangam Vihar area and involved in crime since 1999. He is a B.C. of PS Sangam Vihar. Initially he had committed petty crime and later involved in auto lifting. On 27.10.02 he was involved in a case of robbery cum murder and looted Rs. 9 lacs from the victim in daylight after shooting him, in the area of Kalkaji. He is also found involved in a case of murder in the area of Sangam Vihar. He is so desperate that in the year 2002 he alongwith his one associate shoot at one Police Constable of PS H.N. Din, while they were planning to rob a bank in the area of H.N. Din. In the same year he committed 5 robberies including one robbery with murder. He remained in jail upto year 2005. Now he again formed a new gang alongwith above mentioned accused and arranged above recovered deadly weapons through his another associate Gajender @ Babloo.
Accused Rajesh is his old associate who is involved in a case of Arms Act. Other three accused are newly members of the gang. The Maruti car belongs to accused Sanjay, which they want to use in the commission of crime.
RECOVERY
1. Four desi katta (one .12 Bore, three .315 bore)
2. Seven live and one fired cartridges of .12 bore.
3. Six live and one fired cartridges of .315 bore.
4. Two button actuated knives.
5. One Maruti car.

Title : | GANG OF AUTO-LIFTERS BUSTED: FIVE STOLEN TSRs RECOVERED |
INTRODUCTION
With the arrest of Shashi Kant Prasad S/o Ramesh Prasad r/o village and post office Manaura Distt. Chhatish Garh and Amarjeet s/o Raghu Nath r/o Village Dhanauli post office Siyana Distt. Bulandshar, U.P., Kalkaji police have busted a gang of Auto Lifter and recovered 5 stolen Three Wheelers from them.
INCIDENT, TEAM & INTERROGATION
On 07.09.07, a secret information was received that two persons would pass with stolen TSR in the area, immediately a the team under the supervision of Shri V.P. Singh, ACP/Kalkaji led by Inspr. Jogender Kumar, SHO/Kalkaji comprising of SI Upender Singh, I/C PP Govind Puri, HC Vinay Pal, Const. Narender Singh, Const. Anil Kumar, Const Yogender, Const. Ambrish Tyagi and const. Ramesh Kumar was constituted and a trap was laid near Shiv Mandir pocket A-12, Kalkaji Extention. At around 9.30 PM on TSR was stopped coming from Tara Apartment side in which two commuters were sitting. The driver was signaled to stop but instead of stopping the TSR, the driver accelerated the throttle and tried to speed away. Police team chased the TSR and on sensing trouble the TSR driver stopped the TSR and the occupants started running towards Okhla. They were further chased and two of them were apprehended whereas one of their accomplices managed to escape.
On interrogation it was revealed that the TSR in which they were traveling was stolen one. Accused Shashi Kant Prasad was earlier working as a recovery agent in a Finance Company and Amarjeet was a dealer of second hand TSRs. The absconding accused is identified as Yogesh Pahalwan, he is a coach in a gym and resides in Meetha Pur, Badarpur area from where he is absconding. On their instances four more stolen TSR were also recovered.
MODUS OPERANDI
The modus operandi of the gang was that one of them used to hire the TSR and another members after some distance also used to board on the same TSR. On the way finding opportunity at a lonely place they used to rob the TSR driver and decamped with the robbed money and the TSR. Their previous involvement are being verified and efforts are afoot to apprehend the absconding accused Yogesh Pahalwan.

Title : | SUPPLIER OF ILLICIT LIQUOR NABBED: 300 BOTTLES OF HARYANA EXISE LIQOUR ARRESTED |
INTRODUCTION
With the arrest of Manish Kumar s/o Hari Singh r/o A-31, Khan Pur Extention, Devli Road , Kalkaji South District Police have apprehended one bootlegger and recovered 300 bottles of illicit Haryana Excise liquor (15 cartons Wine & 10 cartons Beer) from his possession.
INCIDENT, TEAM & INTERROGATION
On 07.09.07, a secret information was received that one Manish, a trafficker of illicit liquor would be carrying Haryana Excise illicit liquor and would pass through the area of Govindpuri. Immediately, a team under the supervision of Shri V.P. Singh, ACP/Kalkaji led by Inspr. Jogender Kumar, SHO/Kalkaji comprising of SI Upender Singh, I/C PP Govind Puri, HC Satpal, Const. Ved Parkash, Const. Suresh, Const. Ramesh Kumar, Const. Narender Kumar was constituted and patrolling in the area was intensified around Service Road near Pocket A-14, Kalkaji Extension. At around 9.45 PM one person was found sitting on the footpath with plastic katta and he after seeing the police party started running from the spot, who was overpowered after a short chase and on checking the plastic katta, 300 bottles of illicit Haryana Excise liquor (15 cartons Wine & 10 cartons Beer). Accordingly, a case of Excise Act was registered and the accused was arrested.
MODUS OPERANDI & PROFILE
On interrogation it was revealed that this wine and beer cartons was to be distributed in the area of Sangam Vihar and Madan Gir for retail sale. The accused Manish is previously involved in one case of Excise act with large recovery. He is a supplier of illicit liquor in the area and has several persons for transporting illicit liquor from Haryana. This time, he himself was carrying the liquor and was apprehended.
