Title : | DESPERATE CRIMINALS ARRESTED AFTER SHOOTOUT WANTED FOR KIDNAPPING, ROBBERY AND ATTEMPT TO MURDER SOPHISTICATED SEMIAUTOMATIC WEAPON SEIZED |
The Interstate Cell Crime Branch Chanakyapuri Delhi has arrested two criminals after a shootout in the area of PS. Kanjhawala Delhi. These criminals were wanted in three cases of kidnapping, robbery and attempt to murder in Daruheda Rewari Haryana. The arrested criminals are:-
1. Mahender Rathi @ Somender (30) s/o Hukam Singh Rathi r/o Village Bharan, Meham, Rohtak presently living at a rented house in Pratap Vihar Part II Prem Nagar Kirari, Kanjhawala Delhi. Haryana Police has sent a proposal for declaring a cash reward of Rs. 20,000/- for any information leading to his arrest.
2. Vikas Rana (29) s/o Hawa Singh r/o Village Mungeshpur, Bawana, Delhi.
On 16/08/07 SI Ramesh dabas developed information that the two criminals would be coming to the area of Kirari Delhi. A team led by Insp. Subhash Tandon including SI. Ramesh Dabas, SI. Manjeet Tomar, HC. Ved Prakash, HC. Narender, HC. Krishan, HC. Ajmer Singh, Ct. Ghanshyam, Ct. Surender Ahlawat, Ct. Surender Tomar, Ct. Rajiv, Ct. Amit Tomar and Ct. Manoj under close supervision for Dr. Joy Tirkey ACP immediately left for the spot.
Both of the above criminals were intercepted at 04:15 pm on 16/08/07 on the Mubarakpur Majri Road Kanjhawala Delhi. They were traveling in a Maruti Esteem car bearing registration number HR29 0236. When they were cornered both the criminals came out firing at the police party. The police party apprehended them without firing back after a short chase. Both criminals were found carrying sophisticated semiautomatic firearms. A 7.65 mm pistol with 2 live rounds was seized from Mahender. One empty shell was recovered from the spot later. One .30 bore pistol with 3 live rounds was recovered from Vikas. One empty shell was recovered from the spot subsequently. A case, vide FIR No. 154/07 dated 16/08/07 u/s 186/353/307/34 IPC & 25/27/54/59 Arms Act PS. Kanjhawala was against both the criminals accordingly.
On sustained interrogation both the criminals revealed that they were wanted in the following two cases.
1. Case FIR No. 64/07 dated 12/3/07 u/s 364/34 IPC PS. Daruheda Rewari Haryana They along with other associates namely Vinod @ Billa and Satish @ Sita abducted a jeweler named Satpal from the area of Daruheda, Haryana and had taken him to Shimla. They had been demanding Rs. 10 lakhs for his safe release. To receive the amount they had come back to Sonepat. However, Satpal managed to escape even before the ransom amount could be paid.
2. Case FIR No. 153/07 dated 30/5/07 u/s 307/34 IPC PS. Daruheda Rewari Haryana Mahender and Vikas had been threatening Satpal the jeweler and had been asking his to settle the case against them. However, Satpal has refused to listen to them. They had waylaid Satpal on 30/5/07 and had shot him point blank in his neck twice. However, Satpal survived and both of them absconded.
3. Case FIR No. 175/07 dated 11/07/07 u/s 365/392/34 IPC PS. Sampla, Sonepat Haryana. Both Mahender and Vikas along with their two other associates namely Vicky and Bokra kidnapped a truck driver along with his ten tyre truck in Sampla. They beat up and dumped the driver near Bhainswal, Haryana. They sold off the empty truck and shared the money amongst themselves.
Mahender has been found involved in two criminals cases in the past.
1. FIR No. 839/06 u/s 379/411/482 IPC PS. Rohini Delhi
2. FIR No. 595/06 u/s 399/402 IPC 25/27/54/59 Arms Act PS. Narela, Delhi.
He was in jail and came out on bail on 19/10/06. After this he has been actively committing crime along with Vikas Rana.
Vikas Rana has also disclosed that he has four cases of hurt and physical assault registered against him at police stations Narela and Mangolpuri in Delhi. The same are being verified.
The 7.65 mm pistol recovered from Mahender was given to him by another criminal of Haryana named Bokra last month. The .30 bore pistol recovered from Vikas was bought by him from a person known as Atlas in Badli 3 months ago for Rs. 35,000/-. The Maruti Esteem car according to Mahender has been robbed by Bokra from Haryana. All the above inputs are being verified.
Mahender and Vikas have disclosed that they were planning to shoot another person in Narela as a favour to one of their friends named Leela. Leela runs a milk dairy in Narela. He is fond of a girl who had spurned him for another boy. Leela wanted to eliminate the boy. Mahender and Vikas would have eliminated this boy within a week.
Antecedents of both these criminals are still being verified. They shall be produced in Rohini Court today and shall be brought on police remand for further recoveries. A massive manhunt has been launched to search for the associates of both these criminals. Haryana Police has been informed accordingly. Further investigation in the case is on.

The team of Special Cell led by Inspector Badrish Dutt and Insp. V.N.Jha under the supervision of Shri K.K.Kaushik , ACP has apprehended dreaded Gangster Manohar Rai @ Gope jee r/o Patna, Bihar. He is involved in 20 cases of Murder, attempt to murder, kidnapping for ransom, extortion and gang rape. Arms and ammunition have been recovered from his possession. A reward of Rs. 25,000/- has been declared by Bihar police for his apprehension.
During the first week of August 2007 notorious and desperate gangster of Bihar, Nirjesh Singh @ Naga Singh was arrested by Special Cell. During his interrogation it was revealed that another gangster of Bihar Manohar Rai r/o Mokama has also established his base in Delhi and planning to commit a sensational crime in Delhi. Manohar Rai is notorious, desperate gangster. He is wanted in more than 20 cases of Murder, Attempt to murder, Kidnapping for ransom, gang rape etc and is in possession of illegal weapon. Sources were deployed and surveillance was mounted. On 16.8.07 specific information was received that the gangster would be coming near Bus stand to meet his accomplice at about 3 PM, he was apprehended near Bus stand DDA Kalkaji Extension on Okhla Tughlaqabad Road. One country made .315 bore pistol & 3 live cartridge has been recovered from his possession. A case under the appropriate sections of law has been registered at PS Special Cell, Lodhi Colony, New Delhi.
During interrogation accused Manohar Rai disclosed that he began his criminal career in the year 2002 when he in order to avenge the murder of his brother committed murder of relatives of Masudan of his village. Thereafter he formed his own gang Gopeeji gang. He was involved in extorting money from the prominent businessmen of Bihar. He was also involved in a gang rape of a woman in Bihar. In the year 2006, he alongwith his associates kidnapped a businessman from a moving train from the area of Mohakama, Bihar. A case FIR No. 16 /2006 has been registered at PS Railways Mohakama, Bihar. When police team tried to rescue the businessman, the gang was involved in a shoot out with the police team. After shootout his associates were arrested by the police but he managed to escape.

Title : | GANG OF AUTO LIFTERS/ CHEATS BUSTED 3 CARS AND 15 MOTOR CYCLES RECOVERED |

* Seven Fake Driving License, Large scale Blank Stationary of Electricity bill and driving license. & 1. Stolen Chevrolet Tevera, 1 Santro, 1 Indica, and 15 motor cycle have been recovered.
The Special Team of Crime Branch has arrested Two persons namely 1) Shobhit (23 Yrs) S/o Sushil Kumar Gupta R/o Haldwani Mode, P.S. Suraj Pur Greator Noida Distt. Goutam Budh Nagar U.P. 2) Gurudayal (21 Yrs.) S/o Raj Kumar R/o Village Miragpur P.S. Deoband Distt. Saharanpur , U.P. They are involved in the racket of receiving stolen vehicles and making forged documents like Driving License, Electricity, bills etc. On the basis of these fake documents they used to get vehicle financed and used to sell these vehicles to villagers of remote area like Muzaffarnagar, Saharanpur, Haridwar, etc on pretext of less rate and supplying the original documents with in forty days. The fake documents like fake Driving licenses and stamps of RTO have been recovered.
SI Ritesh Kumar of Special Team had received information that one Shobhit along with his associates Gurudayal are involved in receiving of stolen vehicle and making of fake documents On the basis of these documents they used to get vehicles financed and get personal loans. The information was developed. On 10th of August 2007 on a specific information that Shobhit will come near ISBT Kashmiri Gate for dealing in a stolen vehicle. A Police team consisting SI Ritesh Kumar, ASI Bijender, HC Mukesh, HC Ashok, HC Jagdish, HC Balender Const. Rajeev, Ajay Kumar, Ct. Ashok, Ct. Govinder and Ct. Rakesh under the leadership of Inspr. Anand Singh under the over all supervision of Sh. Sanjay Bhatia, ACP/Special Team were formed and acting immediately upon this information, the team swung into action and trap was laid near ISBT Kashmiri Gate, at about 4.00 P.M A person with a bag approached ISBT out gate who was identified as Shobhit by the informer. After 20/25 minutes later a Chervalate Tevera approached from Shahdra flyover to him. The person in Tevera looked suspicious and was later identified as Gurdayal both were overpowered by the police party. On enquiry the Tevera was found to be stolen from P.S. Vijay Nagar Ghaziyabad. The vehicle was found to be fake number plate and fake documents. On searching the bag of Shobhit some sensational documents like duplicate driving licenses of Ghaziabad authority, Electricity bills and blank stationeries Rubber Stamp of Ghaziabad Licensing Authority and several cheque books and passbooks were recovered.
Both were interrogated and it has been found that Shobhit is involved in obtaining financed vehicle from various bank like ICICI, UTI, Tata finance and others on behalf of forged documents prepared by One Sarkar of Vaishali Ghaziabad, who is having a vast knowledge of banking finance system and its loopholes he makes mockery of this systems by using innovative methods for obtaining such vehicles. He uses some labour class for getting their signature and photograph by paying Rs. 500/ to 1000/- for it. It was extremely impossible for the bank to trace such person as after obtaining the vehicle Shobhit use to supply all such vehicles in the remote criminal area of Muzaffarnagar, Saharanpur and Haridwar, as there is no such strict check of Police and the youth of these villages proudly used these vehicles with Delhi number plates and on assurance of Shobhit that the original papers of the vehicle wiz R.C etc will be given to them in forty days. A case FIR No. 452/07 u/s 411/420/468/471/120 B IPC PS Kashmiri Gate, has registered 15 motor cycles and Two cars and One Tevera have been recovered among them one Karizma motor Cycle found to be stole from the area of Police Station Rohini Vide FIR No. 408/06 U/s 379 IPC. Further investigation is on.
