Title : HUGE QUANTITY OF DUPLICATE TATA TEA RECOVERED BY EAST DITSTICT POLICE

East District Police has recovered a huge quantity of duplicate TATA TEA PREMIUM from H.No.478 old 30 Block, Trilok Puri Delhi (FACTORY) and arrested the accused Sohanlal Gupta S/O Prahlad Chand Gupta. INCIDENT On 30.07.07, SI Rajender Singh of District Investigation Unit, East District got an information that one person is engaged in sale & packing of duplicate TATA TEA and kept a huge quantity in his factory. Sh. Ashok Kumar Talwar, ACP/DIU East was informed by SI who constituted a raiding team comprising of S.I. Rajender Singh, HC Virender Singh, HC Rampal, Ct. Ashok and Ct. Sombir. The raiding team conducted a raid at H.No.478 old 30 Block, Trilok Puri Delhi and found huge quantity of tea packets kept in the factory. The tea was apparently packed in duplicate wrappers. The accused Sonhanlal Gupta S/O Prahlad Chand Gupta accepted that the contents of the packets are duplicate tea. He was apprehended by the raiding team. RECOVERY 1. Total 7128 Packet of Tata Tea Premium containing 50grams, 100grams and 250 grams duplicate tea. 2. 313 Kg. loose Tea contained in 11 packets. 3. Tata Tea duplicate packing rolls 11 Kgs. 4. One packing machine. A case vide FIR No.289/2007 u/s 63 Copy Right Act has been registered at P.S. Mayur Vihar and accused arrested.

Title : GAMBLERS RACKET BUSTED BY EAST DISTRICT POLICE

With the arrest of the following persons, East District police has busted a racket of gamblers while gambling in DDA park, Laxmi Nagar :- 1. Upender s/o R.C. Sharma r/o D-82, Shakarpur, Delhi, 2. Nitin Kashyap s/o Prakash Chander r/o G-28, Shakarpur, Delhi, 3. Rajender Singh s/o Dashrath Singh r/o D-196, Gali No.8, Laxmi Nagar, Delhi, 4. Atul Gupta s/o Vishnu Gupta r/o D-212, Gali No.10, Laxmi Nagar, Delhi. 5. Pankaj Gupta s/o M.L. Gupta r/o D-15, Shakarpur, Delhi and 6. Narender Maheshwari s/o O.P. Maheshwari r/o F-28B, Mangal Bazar, Laxmi Nagar, Delhi. INCIDENT On 31.7.2007 ASI Aizaz Ahmed alongwith Ct. Omdutt, Ct. Dharamvir, Ct. Ravinder and Ct. Satender were on area patrolling. At 10.30 P.M. when they reached I Block Laxmi Nagar they saw few persons playing cards under electric pole in the park. On seeing the police personnel they threw the playing cards and tried to flee away but the police persons chased them and apprehended them. RECOVERY 1. 52 Playing cards, 2. Rs.28,600/- cash (stake money) A case vide FIR No.575 dated 31.7.2007 u/s 12/9/55 Gambling Act has been registered at P.S. Shakarpur and all the accused persons have been arrested.

Title : DESPERATE CRIMINALS ARRESTED BY EAST DISTT POLICE

With the arrest of the following dreaded criminals, East District police has evaded incident of robbery in the area of East Delhi :- 1. Riyaj s/o Ijaj r/o Gali No.0, Kabir Nagar, Delhi (19 years), 2. Yasin s/o Jumma Khan r/o Village Mohammad Ganj, Thana Kadar Chowk, District Badayun, U.P. (22 years), 3. Arif @ Ubesh s/o Achhan Miyan r/o Mahesh Ka Makan, Gali No.18, near Delhi Jal Board office Seelampur, Delhi (18 years), 4. Samir @ Kamran s/o Irfan r/o Gali No.8, Sahid’s Factory, Ajeet Nagar, Delhi (19 yeears) and 5. Dharmender @ Lal s/o Raju Paswan r/o Sunder Gurjar Ka Makan, Gali No.8, Old Seelampur, Delhi (22 years). INCIDENT On 30.7.2007 ASI Prakash Chand, HC Satpal Singh, Ct. Tehjib Haider, Ct. Devender Kumar, Ct. Anil Kumar, Ct. Yogender and Ct. Jasvir Singh of P.S. Gandhi Nagar were on area patrolling in the area of Kailash Nagar. At about 8.30 P.M. ASI Prakash Chand got information that five criminals laced with illegal weapons were sitting in Mahavir Swami Park and were planning to rob cloth merchant Mr. Jain. ASI informed Inspector M.N. Minhas, SHO/Gandhi Nagar who immediately constituted a raiding team of the above staff and directed to conduct a raid. At about 8.55 P.M. the staff laid a trap in Mahavir Swami Park and surrounded the suspects. On confirmation of information, ASI Prakash Chand challenged the suspects on which they ran away in different directions but the raiding party members apprehended them. RECOVERY 1. Three button actuated knives and 2. Two iron rods. A case vide FIR No.270 dated 30.7.2007 u/s 399/402 IPC and 25 Arms Act has been registered at P.S. Gandhi Nagar and accused persons have been arrested.
