Title : | TANTRIK & HIS ASSOCIATE ARRESTED FOR CHEATING |
With the arrest of Mohd. Azad s/o Allah Noor r/op H.No 831, Near Talab Dasna, District Ghaziabad (UP) aged 30 yrs and (2) Naushad s/o Rashid Khan r/o Jhuggi near GDA Flats, near Peer, Arthala, District Ghaziabad, UP, Sarai Rohilla Police has busted a gang involved in Tantra Mantra and cheating the innocent public.
TEAM AND THE INCIDENT
On a specific information, a team consisting of Inspr. Ashok Tyagi, SHO/Sarai Rohilla, Inspr. Ram Sunder Addl. SHO/Sarai Rohilla, SI Raj Kumar, HC Rawat Singh, Ct Narender and W/Ct Renu Bala, was constituted under the close supervision of Sh. Mohd Ali, ACP/Sabzi Mandi.
On 12.04.2007 at about 06.00 PM, SI Raj Kumar, HC Rawat Singh and Ct. Narender Singh were present in the area of Shastri Nagar when a specific information was received that two persons namely Mohd. Azad and Naushad were running a Jyotish Karyalaya at E-2/254-255, Shastri Nagar who cheat the public by giving fake Tabiz, Jadu Tona etc. This information was developed and SHO Sarai Rohilla was informed, who prepared a raiding party. W/DHG Renu Bala was briefed was given a Rs. 100/- note and she deployed as decoy customer and was sent at the said address to tell the Tantrik about her personal problem. After some time, the decoy customer W/DHG Renu Bala came back and informed that there were two persons sitting in the basement at the said address whereas one person was sitting in the guise of ‘BABA’, the another person was sitting at the reception counter to receive the customers. She told her problem to the Tantriks and had paid a fee of Rs 100/-, as briefed. On confirmation, the police party raided this premises and on the pointing of W/DHG Renu Bala, two persons were arrested. From the possession of Mohd Azad (BABA), the Rs 100/- note which was given by decoy customer was recovered. Slips, Photos of persons, photos of Kali Maa and Sai Baba, books and posters written in Arabic and Urdu language and other items have been recovered. A case FIR No 153/07 under section 7 the Drugs and Magic Remedies (objectionable Advertisements) Act 1954 and 420/34 IPC has been registered and both the accused have been arrested in this case.
Further investigation/interrogation is in progress.
INTERROGATION/INVESTIGATION
During sustained interrogation, both of them have revealed that they are engaged in this business since last about 6/7 months and they do no have any qualification or degree of any Jyotish/Horoscope. They kept on changing the addresses after every 2/3 months. They advertised through newspaper and by other means also. As and when any client approach them with any personal problems they cheat them by taking huge amount in the name of curing him or solving his problems. They are friends. Mohd. Azad who is ‘BABA Hussain Shah’ is only 5th Class pass and his father is a Rickshwa pullar whereas Naushad is totally illiterate and his father is also a Rickshaw pullar.

Title : | APPROX 7 KG CHARAS WORTH RS. 1.5 LACS RECOVERED |
With the arrest of Haider Ali, aged 26 years s/o Navi Hassan Khan r/o Village Gad Bahuari PS Palanova, Distt. Motihari, Bihar, North District police has recovered 7 Kgs CHARAS worth Rs 1.5 lacs. A case under NDPS Act has been registered at PS Kashmere Gate, Delhi in this regard.
TEAM AND THE INCIDENT
A team consisting of Inspr. Vinod Kumar, SHO/Kashmere Gate, SI Rakesh Kumar, ASI Manohar lal and Ct Sant Ram was constituted under the close supervision of Sh. A.K. Singla, ACP/Sadar Bazaar/North District.
There were a large number of complaints of drug peddling in the area in the recent past. A massive drive was launched against such drug peddlers / users because many of them used to indulge in crimes also for earning quick money to continue their bad habits.
With a view to keep a check on such drug peddlers/addicts, a special drive was launched and this team effected surprise checking at entry and exit points at ISBT also.
On 12.04.07 at about 5:30 p.m. while the team was performing checking, one person was intercepted who was carrying a bag which was searched and 14 packets containing Charas Sticks weighing approximately 7 Kgs was recovered. The drug peddler was later on identified as Haider Ali s/o Navi Hassan Khan r/o Village Gad Bahuari PS Palanova, Distt. Motihari, Bihar.
INTERROGATION
On sustained interrogation, accused person revealed that he works as a labourer at Motihari, Bihar. He was delivered this drug by one Ram Prakash, a resident of Nepal border and a casual visitor to his place who had asked him to take it to Rohtak, Haryana for passing on the same to one Sanjay. He had further promised him Rs. 25,000/- for this trip. This was his second trip. Due to his poor economic condition, he had agreed to it and was apprehended at ISBT, Kashmere Gate while he had come there to take a bus to Rohtak.
Further investigation / interrogation is in progress and efforts are also being made to apprehend the person who had delivered this contraband drug to him.

1. Haider Ali s/o Navi Hassan Khan r/o Village Gad Bahuari PS Palanova, Distt. Motihari, Bihar 26 years old and has studied up to 7th class. He works as a labourer in brick furnace at Motihari, Bihar. Due to poor economic condition of his family, he started indulging in drug peddling.

On the night intervening 11/12-4-07 at about 0125 hours, the MPV staff of C-67 while on patrolling in Aman Vihar, Kirari Road, noticed a truck No. DL-1M-2556 in suspicious condition. The PCR staff signaled its driver to stop, but the driver accelerated the speed. The active staff of PCR van immediately chased and intercepted the truck near F-Block, Mangol Puri. On checking, 35 bags of ganja weighing 30 Kg. each were found in the truck. The driver of the truck identified as Rajesh S/o Nanhe Singh, r/o Village Jagatpur, PO Mirazpur, PS Awagarh, Distt Etta, UP was apprehended. The accused alongwith recovered 1080 Kg. ganja was handed over to local police of PS Mangol Puri vide FIR No. 245/07 u/s 20/61/85 NDPS Act. Further enquiries revealed that Rajesh, driver of the truck, belongs to Sansi tribe and his mother Kamla r/o A-104, Sarai Piplethala, Jhuggie Adarsh Nagar, Delhi is involved in the sale of contraband substances and 16 cases of Excise Act were registered against her. Mr. Rajiv and Sanjay, both brothers of driver Rajesh are residing at A-124 and A-140 Sarai Piplethala, Jhuggie Adarsh Nagar, Delhi and one case of Excise were also registered against each. |
